How to spend Vanguard in 1.1.1

Hey everyone, new to the game and hit Level 30 but am using a poor primary weapon (the devil you don't). I have 150 marks and my commendation and wanted input on the best vanguard primary. I know the patch changed things around and was curious if there
is a new best primary vanguard weapon with the changes. Appreciate the help!

Best Shotgun for Vanguards

The only Vanguard I use 90% of the time is my Krogan Battlemaster. I give him the Reegar Carbine X with Shotgun Spare Thermal Clip V and Shotgun Blade Attachment V. His cooldown is about 150% though... but depending on how you spend your skill points, the
delay is negligble

Badger more so than up for anything or NITC?

 

Badger has slightly more impact if memory serves me correctly , Scouts are headshot machines once you get in your groove , I never go anywhere without my SR , I have Satrienne Rapier on my hunter , and a Badger on my Titan and Warlock .

 

You're much better off going with one of the legendary primarys from the Vault of Glass or Crota's End raids. Both offer one of each primary weapon type and every one has an element as well, something that none of the other primarys in the game have. Some
of the standouts include weapons like Fatebringer (arc hand cannon), Vision of Confluence (solar scout rifle), Fang of Ir Yut (arc scout rifle), Oversoul Edict (arc pulse rifle), and Atheon's Epilogue (void auto rifle). Even though the Vault of Glass weapons
are capped at level 30 (300 damage), between their perks and elemental damage they're still better than most level 31 Vanguard weapons.
