  1. How To Speed Up Game Installs On Xbox One

Just so you guys know this is how you can speed up the game installs

    1. Disconnect your Xbox One console from Xbox Live by either unplugging your ethernet cable from the back of the console or select "Disconnect Wireless" from the Network sub-menu in the console's Settings section.

    2. Power cycle your Xbox One console by holding down the Xbox button on the front of the console for ten seconds.

    3. Restart your Xbox One console and let the game install.

    4. Reconnect to Xbox Live. Be aware that you may be prompted to install an update for the game after you reconnect to Xbox Live.

When you first insert a game disc into your console, it'll check to see whether the game is already installed. If it isn't, you'll be prompted to go ahead with the install by going to My Games and Apps, and manually selecting the game that you want to use.
Once the process has begun, you'll see the progress bar just below the game's logo. You can also prioritise or pause downloads from the My Games and Apps menu to make sure the download you want is the one that finishes first.

If your on-disc installations are running smoothly, but you're having problems downloading or installing a game or app directly from Xbox Live, first off make sure that you are connected to the internet, to the service and signed in with the profile that
originally purchased the content. To do this go to the console's Settings menu, select Network, and then under Current network status, you'll be able to see whether you're connected to Xbox Live and the strength of your local connection.

Then, make sure that you have enough space on your hard drive to install the content. If everything is a-ok and the download still isn't finishing up, you may have to do a little further digging. I've recently had apps get stuck on 100% download and still
fail to install. If this happens, the trick seems to be to uninstall the app entirely, search for it again from the online Store, and starting the download again from scratch.

If you're still stalling, go to your notifications at the left of your home screen (or simply say "Xbox, go to notifications" to go straight there). Double-check to see if there are any notifications about low or unavailable hard drive space - the console
should alert you when you're running low. If there is one there, you'll have to delete something to free up space. To do that, go to My Games and Apps, select the ones you want to delete, press the menu button whilst hovering over its icon and select uninstall.
Whilst choosing items to delete, bear in mind that games will take up way more space than apps.

    :)

    Speed up installs?

You can play Ghosts at about 60%, if memory serves.

It will let you play any mode at that point, but we found the graphics to be a little sub-par, so that's probably the remaining portion of the download.

As for speeding up downloads, those tricks relate to disc installations and centre on disconnecting the console from the local network. Somehow I doubt that will work for you...

Although you should perhaps make sure you are not doing any other downloads, or streaming anything, on the network to free up some extra bandwidth for the game download.

I know it was mentioned before but how do you speed up game installs I'm trying to install COD Ghosts (digital code) and it is taking an eternity !!! Also as it's digital do you need to wait until it goes to 100 % before you can play it?

    game disc install time

    Hey mate,

It might be worth installing the game offline, this will speed things up and will usually fix this issue :)

I've put a link below with the instructions on how to do so, so give that a shot and let us know how you go :)

    Hi,

Does the game say 'Installing' on the Xbox dashboard?

All Xbox One games need to be fully installed first before they can be played. If there was a propmpt for an update, your download speed from your ISP will determine how long this takes.

PS4 games have to be installed, same as Xbox One. The installation speed is faster on PS4, but the game still installs.

    General Xbox live performance

For disc installations, perform the installation offline to speed up the process.

For downloads, it depends entirely on your home network - your speed and how many other devices are connected at the same time will impact download times. Also Xbox One games are considerably larger than Xbox 360 games, so will take considerably longer to
    download in their entirety.

For Advanced Warfare, you should be able to start playing before the download completes fully - watch out for a "Ready to Play" notification that will let you play parts of the game before everything is downloaded.

Try installing your game to your Xbox. This might speed up loading times and fix other problems, including yours. Go to
support.microsoft.com/.../960173 under "To install a game on your hard drive" for more information on how to do this.
