    How to share Xbox Live with Sister.


    Hi I recently gave my old Xbox one to my sister. I have the XOX.

    I have transferred a few games onto her console. I have set her console to home as advised.

    She lives in London I am in Cambridge, and have the Xbox live account. Obviously I want to be able to play her over the internet.

    My question is what does she have to do on her end in order to make this happen.

    Does she need to setup her own gamertag. What else will she need to do and is there anything else I need to do my end.

    Would very much appreciate if someone can give me clear instructions on Xbox live sharing setup.

    Hello,

    It sounds like you are having trouble game sharing with your sister's account. If that's the case, you'll need to have the person with the active subscription (Your sister in this case, I believe) to set your console as the Home Xbox. Your home Xbox lets you share games and content with other people who sign in to it with their profile.

    Sharing DLC with Sister

    It might work if you do the Season Pass downloads first on her console. A regular DLC map pack purchase would work as long as your console at home was connected to Live; I don't know if the Season Pass aspect might complicate things.

    BTW, for a while now the License Transfer has been allowed every 120 days (four months).

    You cannot share DLC across gamertags, unfortunately. Your purchases are tied to your gamertag.

    yes, this is easy to do

    you sign in to your sister's xbox using your account and in the settings > Personalisation, choose My Home Xbox and make her Xbox your Home.

    then your sister signs in to your xbox with her account and makes your xbox her home in the same way.

    this will let you share Live Gold, Game Pass and purchased games and content.
