How to set up "Family" across multiple Xboxes

    Hi,

I am new to consoles in general, but have a nice new XBox one. I am looking for the best way to set it up for my "family".

In my household permanently, there is only myself and my wife and we both have profiles set up fine.

I have 10 Grand children who will visit regularly (seldom all at once thank goodness How to set up "Family" across multiple Xboxes :) ) and I want to ensure they cannot access any of the 18+ games I have. There are multiple scenarios I want to try and understand here.

    1. Some of my grandchildren won't have any sort of Xbox account at all, so presume this is straight forward and I can create them and add them to my family on my console as per the instructions I have seen elsewhere on the help.

    2. Some of them have an Xbox 360 at their house, I am not sure if they have a full account or not, how should I add these to my XBox one?

    3. 2 of them have an XBox one, and my son will be adding them to his console as his family. Do I need to add them to my console at all, or will the settings my son gives to his kids carry over to my console automatically when they come over and sign in?

Many thanks in anticipation for any assistance

    :)

2 xbox ones in one house. can i share games
There is if I can find a quote along the lines of up to ten members of the same family (though how will they know as a family sub is less than this ? ) can use the same games on any xbox one.
I'm sure we'd see a lot of single folks saying they have kids and multiple spouses. How to set up "Family" across multiple Xboxes :p

  3. How to set up family account for multiple users?

Hello, we are new users and new to the XBox platform.

    1. How do we set up a family account with multiple members, so the family member can just select their profile and begin playing? It asks for a password every time.

    2. How do we install the games so that every family member can play it? The games begin to launch, but then say "the member who installed the game must sign in".

If we have to wipe everything and start over, I think we can do that.

    Thanks,

    Dad

How to set up "Family" across multiple Xboxes

You really do not need to do anything... As long as you have a gold account and you make the console your HOME console anyone with a valid MS account (gamertag) will be able to sign in and play. Even if they are only a silver account, the XB1 turns any
silver account to gold automatically as long as a gold member is signed in.

But you mention CANNOT access your games? That kind of negates the fact you want them to be on your console. You can share all of your games or None of the games but not individual games.

  5. 1) actually when you set up an account (just set up one account for all the children to use) you can specify that its a child account and set a parental lock on anything rated Mature or teen How to set up "Family" across multiple Xboxes :) its in the settings

    2) 360 and XB1 use the same account, they can log in with their 360 account

    3) no you don't need to add them, they can log into their account on your XB1 and everything they have carries over as its stored in the cloud. all their save files, home screen, pins etc.

2 xbox's just can see how to get it all to work

Sorry i hope that did not come across rude. Thank you for your help, i just meant microsoft could have come up with a better and easy solution for families / multiple xbox house holds.

    Second 360 in the house.

Yes to both questions. You can activate a Family Plan across multiple consoles. I have my nephew on our Family Plan who is in a completely different household. With Netflix you can activate up to 5 different devices with one Netflix account.
