    How to set up 2 XBox One consoles for 1 family account?


    Hi. I purchased a 2nd XB1 console so that my children can play on one console while I play on another. Each child has a child account under my adult account. Both consoles will be on the same WiFi network. My questions are:

    How should I configure these consoles so that I don't automatically get logged out on my console whenever one of my children turns their console on?

    Is it possible to set up the two consoles so that they can both be playing in the same Minecraft world or COD squad?

    Is it possible to configure the child accounts so that they don't need a password to login but would still require a password to purchase things?

    Xbox Live Family Membership

    Well, I bought an xbox for my grandson, and im listed in it at the adult, and have my own gametag

    Im thinking about buying the Xbox Live Family Membership, but sonfused on how it might work

    1, main xbox (Xbox Live Family Membership set up here)

    2, windows phone

    3, grandson (on same consol as 1 above)

    4, son on his own consol 20 miles away

    So can I do that? i know about the settings etc, but can those items at 2 and 4 be added to Xbox Live Family Membership?

    They already have accounts setup, and have gametags, have added them as friends

    i bought the family pack and me and my 2 boys have our accounts set up on my console and i want to use the other acccount on my nephews console in the other bedroom for him. how can i set that up?

    Hello Sean,

    I don't believe this is normal for adult/children account to sign you out every time they turn the console on. To me there must be a mistake with auto sign in on the children console or an issue with your network.

    I'm assuming you have your profile on your children console. Firstly turn your children console on, it will most likely sign into your profile. Go to Settings app, under Account select (Sign in, security & passkey), and change Instant sign-in. This should
    fix the issue for your profile being logged in every time the console is turned on.

    If that isn't the issue it maybe your network. Do you have UPnP enabled on your router? Any port forwarding or DMZ?

    If I'm missing something please jump in anyone to offer suggestions.

    Thanks. That took care of logging me in automatically. I also customized their accounts so they no longer need their passkey to sign in anytime they want to play but they would still need it to change their settings.
