How to set recording length in DVR???

well, used to be able to set recording length - now I can't.

Is it unlimited now? what if I only want 30 minutes?

help please.

Win 10 Game DVR Long clips will not record properly

Hi Old, Just found out, depending on how your recording, if you use quick keys this can limit your recording time. If you snap the GameDVR your are able make recordings of a specific length. You can find more information regarding this located here:

Not too long ago, it was revealed by Sony that the PS4 would be able to record up to 15 minutes of gameplay. Now it seems that may no longer be the case. An unknown game developer appears to have stated on an article that a gamer is only limited by the amount of storage the PS4 has and that is possible for someone to record as much gameplay as they want.

There are two ways to set your desired length when recording in DVR. To help you resolve this concern, we recommend that you follow the solutions below:

Solution 1: How to change Game DVR recording time using Settings.

Open Settings.

Click on Gaming.

Click on Game DVR.

Under "Record this," use the Maximum recording time drop-down menu to select the time length:

Solution 2: How to change Game DVR recording time using Xbox.

Open Xbox.

Click Settings (gear) button.

Click the Game DVR tab.

Under "Game Clips," you can use the Maximum recording time drop-down menu to select the time length:

Solution 3: Reset Xbox app from Settings.

Click Start and click Settings.

Select System. Select Apps & features.

Find the Xbox app and click Advanced options.

Click Reset. Restart your device so that the changes can take effect.

Hi

To adjust the game clip recording length on the console please go to the guide then select Settings / All Settings / Preferences / Game DVR & streaming and in this menu you will see the option of "Record that" records.

Hopefully this is the setting you are looking for.

thank you! I love hearing the positive side as well. As for the Game DVR there are settings for pre-set clip lengths. You can set it to be many different variants. Just snap GameDVR and you can find the settings for the Xbox Record That clip length.

Hi, you can use the xbox dvr but the length is short, if you want to record longer videos you'll need an external capture card. you can dowload the clips you record with the dvr with the xbox app on the pc or by uploading them on onedrive.
