    When my son was a minor, I set him up with Xbox under my email address. Over the years, it was never an issue because I don't game. He is now a grown adult and has many friends/purchases from his xbox that are essentially in my name. It becomes a problem
    for me because I have also purchased Microsoft software (office for example) and use the same email (MINE that I associated with him as a minor on xbox) and because of that his Xbox gamer tag reads and picture reads across my Microsoft services.

    What I would love,

    All the purchases he has made over the last 10 plus years (several xbox downloads/games/etc) to be on his OWN account and me have my Microsoft account back, currently, we both use the account but it is difficult, because his gamer tag is what everyone see's
    when I sign into Microsoft account. HELP.

    Unfortunately it is not possible to transfer the purchases to another account.

    When I bought my minor son his first Xbox, I added the Xbox to my account and had my son sign in there to use it. He is now an adult and I want him to set up his own Microsoft account and move his Xbox to his own account. How do we do this??.
    You can easily havr him create his own account and log into his xbox.

    He will lose access to his saved games and anything linked to your account. They cannot be transferred to another Microsoft account, nor can his gamertag.

    He would essentially be starting fresh on his account.

    And he has his own seperate profile which uses my Gold so I'd be using my profile on my xbox and he could have my profile on his xbox but he would be using his own account but getting free xbox live gold because gold is shared through accounts if wanted
    and he could download my games. This would work right?

    ok so i have 3 xbox's on my network, mucho dlc and a family account (4 profiles) if I always use my main profile to buy dlc then technically i can play 2 different profiles (say my profile and my son can play his profile) at the same time on 2 seperate xbox's
    and use the dlc on both provided I sign my profile in on the xbox that doesn't have the dlc on it and my son uses his account that had the dlc downloaded on it correct? or is this a no go? Basically I want to party up with my son/daughter and play the dlc
    (that I bought) on seperate full screen tv's/xbox's..

    2 consoles.

    Xbox A downstairs. Both accounts 1 paid live. But different games downloaded and paid for different accounts. Example. I downloaded dayz. My son bought bo4..

    We could both play bo4 on both consoles at same time both online.

    Now it says I don't own the game on my account. And my son can't play online on his console but he can on mine.

    This all getting ever so confusing. When it shouldn't be. I'm at the point.. So only way my son can get online and play with me is to buy more xbox live for his console. Only way we can play dayz together is if he buys it a 2nd time.
