How to send a broken controller back to Microsoft

So i have had contact with Microsoft Support and they confirmed that my controlelr (day one) is not working correctly.

The A or X button doesn't fuction like it shout. If i press it it comes out of the socket really slow.

So i went to the website
https://myservice.xbox.com/ and registerd my console.

Then i had the option for a broken controller. After the whole process was done i got 2 mails.

1 from microsft en 1 from UPS.

Microsoft says:

make sure the controller is in a box and write on the box your adress and the following

European Repair Centre

Teleplan Prague s.r.o.

a Dlouhém 88

251 01 Říčany-Jažlovice

Tsjechië

Also write the the service request number on the box and add the order in the box.

UPS says:

Print the send out label and put it on the box. But... the label has a other adress on it.

servicing xbox one elite controller

I talked to microsoft support on thursday about having an xbox one elite controller serviced, and place an order to get it serviced. I was told that I would send in the old controller and when they received it, they would send me a replacement. I person
I was talking to said that I would recieve an email with more info on how to send in my broken controller, but I have yet to receive any email.

Do i need to send my broken controller to get my replacement?

Hey!

I was told for my replacement xbox one controller that I have to send my broken one back to microsoft to receive my new one but it says i don’t need to send it back to them on the “active repairs” Do i need to send it back to them or not? Thanks!

Sorry about the confusion, I would definitely reach out to our phone support from our Contact Us page. Phone Support should be able to verify the correct shipping address so that you don't
end up sending you controller to the incorrect location. Feel free to post back to let us know which was the correct address.

If I do request a replacement, will I be able to keep playing with the broken controller until the new one comes, or will I have to send the broken one back at the start, and wait for a few weeks without a controller to play with before the new one comes?

Razer actually has a very good record sending out controllers for replacement and usually they don't even ask you to send back the broken one. but as for the original question, MS always requires you to send stuff back to them at cost to you.:{

Here's how my experience went: terrible.

The retailer I bought the controller from, Amazon, does not accept exchanges, and is completely sold out. So my only option with them would be a return.

In an effort to get an Elite, I decided to contact Microsoft support to see if they would honor their manufacturer's warranty.

The only way that they would send me a functional controller is if I sent them my brand new broken one, and that I PAY FOR THE SHIPPING ON MY DIME.

That is absolutely abhorrent. To sell me a broken controller and expect me to pay more to get a working one is the definition of garbage customer service.

I am sending the controller back to Amazon for a refund and I will not be purchasing one again.
