How To Save Progress

I am new to Xbox one, but I have been unable to understand how to save the progress my daughters have made in any of the games that they play on the Xbox one S Console. Specifically with the Lego marvel superheroes I would like to know how to save whatever
progress they have made in the game whether or not they have completed a certain level or reached a certain point in the game. I also have the same issue with Jurassic World although I have not been able to find a support forum for that particular game. But
again if someone could be kind enough to outline the steps necessary to save whatever progress my daughters have made, that would be great. Also, are the steps to follow to save progress specific to each game or are they the same regardless of the game being
played?

More on the faulty save system

Can someone enlighten me HOW it works and WHEN it saves? I get progress or inventory saves.....it seems to me like it will only save progress AFTER you have completed an entire mission or optional mission...?

 

Lego Hobbit Game Fails to Save Data

How can I save progress on the Lego Hobbit game for Xbox One? Every time I start, I have to start from the beginning. There's no obvious way to save the game, and even thought I somehow figured out how to save it once (I can't remember how I got to the
menu at all), the game wasn't saved! There's no way to save progress?
