How to run audio and video to TV and receiver, but separately

I would like to watch videos and DVDs on Xbox without needing to turn on my home theatre receiver.
Presently, I have to turn on my receiver to watch Xbox. Xbox HDMI Out to HDMI In on receiver. Then HDMI Out on receiver and back to TV.
I guess what I need is a separate audio and video Out to TV, bypassing the need to have the receiver on at all times.

    :)

Does your receiver support ARC? If so,. use that HDMI port. I believe that'll pass through audio if the receiver isn't on.

    Hi

ARC is a feature on TV's and is not required to be a feature on the XBOX. Basically its a daisy-chain system where all audio and video features are process by the receiver as well as the TV. This allows
TV and gaming consoles to all have their audio processed via the receiver instead of separate connections / sources.

In theory, ARC is supposed to let you have one connection between your TV and whatever you use to create sound: a receiver or a sound bar .
You send video to the TV with an HDMI cable, and that same HDMI cable sends audio from the TV back down the same cable.

XBox 360 E and component video? digital audio?

I had a question as well about the 360 E and audio. I am going to run HDMI into my TV for video, but I want to run audio out of my Yamaha AV receiver. It says on support site to sun a stereo cable out from your tv to the av box.

Well my TV has an optical audio out that I can go to optical audio on my AV receiver, shouldn't I be able to get digital audio this way out of my 360 E

Xbox Blu ray player still out of sync

How is your audio connected? Are connected to an a/v-receiver or the TV? Is this happening with all possible audio settings? Have you tried switching between 50 and 60Hz already? Are you having any audio or video enhancers activated on your TV?

    PX3 With xbox one

Hi Captin! Since the PX 3 doesn't have an optical input or an HDMI passthrough, it looks like the only way that it would work would be if you ran the HDMI from the Xbox One into something called an HDMI Audio Separator, which extracts the audio from the
HDMI signal, and sends it to the Red/White "Composite" audio outputs that the PX3 requires. This type of device can be found here:

    www.amazon.com/.../B00KBHX072

I can't promise how well this type of setup would work, but in theory it should work. So, you would run HDMI from the back of the console into the Separator, then run another HDMI from the Separator to the TV (strictly for video.) THEN, you would run the
PX3 Audio Cables from the Red/White outputs on the Separator into the GAME input jack on your PX3 Transmitter.

Again, I can't swear to how well (or even IF) this configuration would work in terms of compatibility, but if it were going to work, this would be the only way! (If you had one of the rare TVs that have a composite red/white OUTPUT on the back, that would
be another option without using a separator, but most TV's don't have this type of output.)

    :) Hope this helps!
