How to retrieve lost items?

I had recovered the drum and King Olaf's lost verse before I had either quest and was able to get the quests later then turn around and tell them I had already retrieved the items. King Olaf's lost verse I was able to get rid of but I'm still lugging around
that damn drum and the flute

try opening network in safe mode with networking then look who has control over your network they could be blocking it ... just a thought or opinion.. cant be to sure .. when i lose something i go into safe mode with networking to see where the item was lost then retrieve what i need and do a reset to the point before i lost what needed
