    How to resume a video?


    I am using the media player app on my xbox one to stream video from a dlna server. For some reason I can't get the media player to resume playback from where I left off, it always starts the video over at the beginning. Resuming worked fine on the xbox
    360 system video player. Is there a setting I need to change?

    How about adding a resume function. On PS3 you can resume from where you were but on 360 it starts again when you replay the video.

    Just curious... Have you tried restarting the video from the beginning by using the Play button instead of the Resume button?

    I was just watching a movie on Xbox One that I rented this morning. I paused and tried to resume, and got this error. I am now getting this error for all of my purchased videos as well:

    Bug with resuming games: Games get stuck at "Please reconnect controller" message.

    It just seems broken if you have to do it that way. If you can switch apps on the fly, then they should account for someone switching to a video app, starting a video, turning off the controller, watching said video, turning the controller back on to switch
    back to the game, and then resume the game. How do they expect you to return to the game if you have to leave your controller turned off? (I have Kinect, so I could use voice commands to go back, but not everyone has it)

    Xbox one YouTube circle just sits and spins

    Old thread, but this is still happening. If I'm watching a video and I stop the playback, exit the app, come back to it later, and then try and resume watching the video where I left off, the circle just spins. Doesn't happen every time, but it happens more
    often than not.
