    How to report a hacker so something actually happens


    For the past several weeks in Halo MCC, a player with the gamertag [mod removed] has been DDoS hitting players offline. Me multiple times. Many people have reported him with no results. No phone number or anything helps. How can someone ban this person?

    If you haven't done so already, you would need to report the issue to your ISP. Since DDoS attacks are done through your internet and not Live, the enforcement team won't be able to track that. They can only enforce actions done on the Live service.

    Hi, There is not a lot you can do with hackers in the older Call of Duty games. The developers/publishers don't seem to care these days about them. Your best bet is when something like this happens is to turn of your xbox at the power outlet, then wait
    5 minutes, and switch back on. Then try your game again. Also you should report the hacker/player via the Xbox reporting tools. That way the enforcement team can do something about it. Instructions how to report someone can be found on the enforcement.xbox.com

    I don't think you understand the gravity of the situation. 4 people had their accounts and ISP forcefully disconnected. As in for the duration of the match we could not connect to our ISP or our Xbox Live. This was not a simple thing. and reporting or blocking
    will not "fix" anything. O would prefer it if MS. took action and permanently banned this account and Xbox directly. This is more than a violation. This is a complete hack and a vulnerability on the trusted Live servers we use. I can not believe someone was
    able to easily block me out of my account. So I deem it necessary to "name or shame" To warn other users of this.
