How to replace thumstick for elite controller?

Hi all, my cat decided to take one of my thumbsticks off my elite controller & she wont tell me where it is so I'm looking to purchase a replacement (it was the tall thumbstick). Is there a way to purchase official Microsoft replacements? Thank you!

Broken elite controller stick, can't use the serial number to register and get a replacement.

I have a broken R-Stick on my elite controller, I want to replace it but every time I enter the serial number it dosn't work. I have read online that elite controllers serial numbers don't work. How do I enter the serial number?

 

Sorry to hear it. Apparently you can order replacement parts. Just follow the instructions at the link below to do so.

The link did not lead to a way to order replacement parts. It lead to a way to register a console.

 

That's why I said to follow the instructions. If you had clicked on the link at the bottom then you would be taken to the device support page where you would be able to replace an accessory.

I appreciate your help. I followed your instructions to the letter however no option to order replacement Thumbsticks became available. There were options to replace my various consoles but nothing regarding my Elite Controller &/or it's Thumbsticks. I was
able to chat with Microsoft Support however & they were able to sell me a set of replacement thumbsticks for about $20
