How to remove xbox game bar?

I don't need xbox game bar and have zero intertest on using it. Its taking up unnecessary space on my HD. Please tell me how to permanently remove the Xbox game bar, no space, actual removal of the app from my laptop.

To remove the Xbox game bar from you device, please follow the next steps

-Press Windows Key or click on the Start menu.
-Start typing Xbox or Game Bar, until you get the Xbox Game Bar app to appear in the results.
-Right-click on the app and pick Uninstall. Answer Yes to the prompt, and wait for the process to finish.

I have done this process, there is still space being occupied by the xbox app. the process you displayed its to turn off and deactivate the xbox app, that is not my intention, i already know how to do that. i want removal of the app. how to remove the xbox bar from window 10?

Yeah I YouTube that and there was some instructions but however when I opened the Powershell showed my name. Then when I entered the command it did not work possibly I didn't have one horizontal vertical bars in the command. Not sure how to get to show run as administrator meaning I did not have the option when I opened the Power shell. I also tried to disable it by talking off the game bar terminating it. It didn't work but this time I restarted it to see if windows can remember my settings to see if that works. My main beef with the game bar and it just keeps popping up every 2 seconds but mainly I'm not using it so I'll try to uninstall it at some point or at least it's disable it down if that's the easiest way.

You can't remove it, but you can disable it. It will likely start again when you restart your computer though. Only Windows 11 Pro can stop Game Bar more permanently via the Group Policy Editor. If you don't have Windows 11 Pro, you can't do this though.

We get this question quite a lot. The thinking usually being that Game Bar is using extra resources slowing down a PC it does not do this.

Even on my PC used for games, Game Bar is only using between 0.0 and 0.1%. And unless it's used, the Xbox App is always 0%

I was successfully able to remove the game bar by changing one number in the registry.
