How to remove logon credentials in the xbox app on shared computers?

I'm sitting on a shared computer and I can choose between several accounts to log on to when I open the Xbox app, with out beeing asked a password.

The only way I've found that works and stops the next person who sits at the computer from accessing my account is to change the password.

    Is there an easier way?

    :)

How to remove logon credentials in the xbox app on shared computers?

Hi and thanks for reaching Microsoft Xbox gamer's community.
    My name is Josef.

Hope you're doing great today despite this JOHANNESER

You can try this before changing the password:
Go here with your account https://account.microsoft.com/devices?refd=acco... > scroll down and click “manage” under Microsoft store device management unlink the shared PC

Go back and select “remove device” under the shared PC name

If the PC is not yours is always recommended to change the password
But if you use the PC often the best option is create an local/online Windows account for each user
In that way you can avoid confusion or issues like this in the future

I mean, creating a new local administrator user in the PC
    https://support.microsoft.com/windows/create-a-...

Also, you can try cleaning the credentials in that PC:

    (RainingRoses response):

"Try the following options for Windows 10/11:
    1. Go to Credential Manager (https://support.microsoft.com/windows/accessing...) > Windows Credentials (not the Web option), select XblGrts|DeviceKey and remove.

    2. Go to Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts. Select your account with the issue and verify that the ‘Apps need to ask me to use this account’ setting is enabled. This would especially help if you have multiple accounts as you would have the option to choose the correct account on startup, but you can always change it back to the automatic option if you prefer. You can also try to remove the account from here and re-add it later.

    3. Follow this file path: C:\Users\[Your Username]AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_cw5n1h2txyewy\AC\TokenBroker
Delete the Accounts and Cache folders, which will be deleted from the Xbox Identity Provider

Note that the highlighted code in this file path depends on your system so may vary.
If you don’t see a particular folder, then confirm there’s no search filters applied and select ‘show hidden items’, or you can just search for the folder in the search bar.
Restart your PC after trying the above steps”

How to remove logon credentials in the xbox app on shared computers?

The pc computer in question doesn't show up in device management. While I'm using my Microsoft login, I'm not logging in to Windows, just the xbox app, think of it like an internet café.

Wouldn't creating a new account mean I would need a second subscription ?

so today i tried playing forza horizon 4 and it logged me in to one of my random accounts that i just have.

In this case, please go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Xbox App > Advanced Options > Repair, then Reset.

Click on Start > Search for Credential manager > Windows credentials. Search for Xbl|DeviceKey, click on it and then Remove. Also, remove all the XblGrts and XboxLive credentials.

    - Delete Accounts and Cache folders at:

    %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\TokenBroker

Restart your computer. Open the Xbox app and it will ask you to sign in. Sign in with the correct Microsoft account and please let me know how it goes.
