    How to remove family settings?


    I bought a used Xbox 360 recently and it has family settings on it. Theyre rather annoying and I would like to get them removed. Ive seen all these online tutorials telling me to push buttons on a certain page of the dashboard but they dont work. Is there
    any way to get them removed? I have a Slim(the original one not the one that looks like an xbox one) if that matters.

    How to remove family settings?

    Sorry to hear it.

    The online tutorials are incorrect as each console is different and the family settings are linked to the console's serial number. You would need to contact phone support in order to get the proper code for your console.

    You'll still need the password for your parental account in order to be able to sign in before you can remove your family settings. You can try reseting the password on your parental account in order to be able to accept the new terms -

    support.xbox.com/.../forgot-microsoft-account-password

    Once you're able to sign back in, you will need to promote your account to an adult account in order to remove family settings -

    support.xbox.com/.../online-safety
