How to remove an xbox device from my device list after I've sold it?

Hi all,

I've recently sold my xbox one device and I still see it under my devices! I have a family setup with my xbox one x and my kids' xbox one s, I still see the third xbox that I've sold and it doesn't give me an option to remove it. I want to add funds for
my kids but I'm worried that it might be used by the other guy I've sold it to.

Hi if you sign into your account settings and click devices you will see a list of the devices linked to your profile. To remove one just click remove/delete

Hello!

Please change the password on all accounts that were on that console to prevent that person from using the accounts to purchase anything or to use your accounts:

Once your password is changed the person can not use your accounts anymore as he would have to enter the new password again to use the accounts.

To remove a device go here

And click on your device and then at the top of that next page click "More Actions" and "remove".

Thanks but I've already tried that and there's no option to remove the device. Although i can see this option on my other 2 devices.

If you absolutely need that item removed and you can't do it, please contact xbox support here:
http://support.xbox.com/contact-us

There is not really a reason to remove it as it won't interfere with anything besides just being in that list.

Could you try another browser to remove it? Like Internet Explorer or Edge?

That's just the point.

Why is the Operating system so sloppy about such matters? Of course it interferes - with comprehension. The computer is saying there are 3 devices, when there are 2. How can Microsoft not CARE about these things?
