How to remove an account from auto sign in?

So me and my brother both have an Xbox. Hes abroad in University so we have different time zones. We also have seperate account so we can play together. Everytime he turns on his Xbox it logs me out of mine. Then he has to switch from my account to his.
I dont want to remove my account from his console cause we sometimes use eachother accounts but it there a way to change which account the console uses with you turn it on?

Firstly you will need to sign in to the account you want to deactivate the auto sign-in feature for on the console and then it will either be under instant sign-in or this controller signs in, select the option that signs the account you want to remove, which
will allow you to unlink from the console and then you can repeat the process to allow your own account to auto-login on the console you use.

I depends of if the account is linked to a controller or a console, in the settings you ca check this, but you have to use the account that logs in every time the person turns on the console or a controller

You can either turn off the auto sign-in feature in the profile settings or delete the profile from the console entirely. Let us know if this helps!

Once you set the first console as Home, you can remove your account from that console or turn off auto-sign-in on that console. This way only the second console will have your account signed in.

So provided your games installed are linked to your gamertag and not the one you want to remove, if you follow the bottom half of this guide linked...

...you wont need the original owners details to remove that account. If any of the game are linked to the original owners account (digital titles mainly and some DLCs perhaps, you will lose access to these ones following the removal.

You should already be able to sign in with your own gamertag by downloading your profile to the console, also detailed at the guide linked above. Also, of you encounter more problems removing it, it may be the original account is trying to auto sign in??
if so then have a read here to toggle that setting...

Although disabling auto sign in does require you to be signed into Xbox Live already.
