How to remotely unlink games from a console

Hi!

I just sold my XB1 for a pretty low price yesterday, with no games.

Before he picked it up I wiped it clean, and when it asked me if I wanted to

unlink the games I said 'yes'.

Today he sent me a message saying "Hey thanks for all the games, I thought you said

it was with no games?"

My WiFi can be dodgy sometimes and perhaps it couldnt connect at the time of my

reset. I don't know.. But is there a way to unlink it remotely? I as a user own the games, the

console does not own the games. So this should be doable right?

Hi, all I can suggest is you change the password on your account, then call Xbox phone support in your region and ask them to reset the home Xbox setting on your account. That should then stop the person you sold the Xbox to from being able to use your games.

As far as I am aware there is no way to remotely unlink the games to a particular Xbox as they are tied to the account that purchased them.

Minecraft and COD are not Play Anywhere titles actually. So you'd have to use remote gaming to access those through a PC. Have you followed the instructions from here to set up remote gaming through the app? https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help...-game-streaming-in-xbox-console-companion-app

If you're trying to use remote gaming from a Series X/S, you'll need to use the Xbox app, not the console companion app. https://www.xbox.com/en-US/consoles/remote-play

Definately not unlinking from the console, so I guess unlinking from a family account.

Can this be done without having the credentials of the parent account?

In regards to the transfer, I know games cannot be transferred, but what about achievements etc. ...?
