How to Register GamerTag?

I've been receiving notice that I lost my saved games or something. It tells me to register my controller to gamertag. How do I do that?

How to register new controller?

Before Xmas I have bought directly from Microsoft Store and Xbox One set with Kinect.

It came with only one controller. As it happens new pad broke few days ago. Two buttons are not working properly. I have already arranged for replacement but since it will take few days I have bought a second one (charge & play set) in a store not far from
my house.

I am worried that it might brake down just as the first one did. With that in mind I have decided to register it with Ms and my account. I am not sure if (in case it fails) it will be replaced as the one I got originally with console or it will be simply
fixed (don't care to be honest). I just want to make sure that it will be under warranty as it should be.

Now.... I was trying to register it via web site with its serial number but looks like it is too long and will not fit.

What do I do in such case? I bought set with one controller, now I got two. Hopefully I will get a replacement for original in few days, but what should I do if the one I just bought will fail
in few months?

BTW: I was truly sorry to read that whole team responsible for Xbox One concept has left Microsoft. The whole idea that Xbox One is not "just a game console" was the main reason I bought it. I love all it additional abilities - BRILLIANT
PEACE OF DEVICE!!!!

Add keyboard & mouse support with nice Outlook client (that works like in Windows 8 and with ability to snap it on the side) and I will love you even more!!!!

But the most important is - what do I do about new game pad?

How to register new controller?

If you're still unable to figure it out, calling support may be a good option. It's a possibility they could just register it for you.

Go to RGCLIVE.com

Click on FORUM and Register

Make sure to put RGC Brave as referrer

And join the Salvation Battalion

Make sure your username is the same as your gamertag!

Simply hook up the console and register it under your gamertag. Then, at some point, a code will be sent to your gamertag to redeem on the console. Sorry but I don't know how long it will take for the code to be sent out.

No, cause it is registered to his gamertag. A liscense transfer only works if his gamertag is on a new system and he needs to register it to that console.
