How to refund a item when someone hacked into your account and bought it

you to contact Xbox Support to chat with a billing/account specialist, and if so, it should list the information that will be helpful for you to have on hand if you do need

contacting Xbox support Directly to speak to someone live about your account. Unfortunately no one on forums will be able to manage your account or promise any refunds. When you click contact us, be sure to say no thanks
to the virtual assistant in order to speak to a live person.

It was definitely hacked and i managed to get hold of someone at microsoft yesterday who helped me change the password and is refunding the games that the person bought on his account. Im not sure how to do a 2 step verification and also how do i get in touch so that he doesnt have to pay to change his gamertag back?
