correct, that is the connection between your computer and router, so if you have another computer on your network and you want to transfer a large video from one computer to the other, it will transfer much closer to 54mbps because it is going from one computer
through the router to another computer, but going to the internet, it is going to your router at 54mbps and then hitting your modem where it's being capped at 10mbps, then out to the internet.

Your router or hub may have caching which would account for higher speeds. I am unsure what country your in, I am guessing US by the NBA love How to reduce xbox one latency? (ethernet cable?) :) contention is also worth checking, schools and business often get 0 or very low, where as consumer usually get
50 sharing. so 60 mega bits per second ( / 8 to get kb ) might get used by 50 people!!! Fibre optic is what i have with virtually no contention 120 up 10 down, but usually is 98 up and 8 down.

My xbox is showing that I'm 74.59mbps/18.46 up. And latency is 156ms, my actual speed test result is 74.21mbps/18.78mbps up, and 156ms ping, as you can see, the results are very similar apart from the latency. My latency has always been around this on the
xbox one tbh, so I'd doubt you will ever get it down more than it is(I'm in England), I have never had issue's with lag though and I was only on a 6mbps connection until recently.

1 connect ethernet. 2 any router connect to last port on modem (may help little due to Ethernet port priority. 3 change dns in xbox network to 1.1.1.1 then 1.0.0.1 this work better for me than 8.8.8.8/ 8.8.4.4 but test both. 4 in your modem setting (login
might be: login user pass user, or login admin pass user, you can google that no issue) go into advanced setting foward, change all ports to 53 insert xbox i.p. (you can find this in xbox network settings) change protocol to both and save. in advanced options
or find options check list, wan blocking(enable) upnp(enable) ipsec passthrough(enable). go into firewall setting, enable game setting, ip flood, packelet loss and port scan.

I got some old school high speed internet lol which according to there website is considered lite basic high speed internet lol...im looking at the 60 mbps with 5 upload speed should do the trick compared to the 10 mbps and 1 upload internet i have now.
I think i was confused with the 54 mbps reading on my lap top...every test i do gets me 11 down and 1 up...thats to basic gotta get the good stuff.
