How to redeem gamer tag ????? Help!

Just bought an Xbox one but cannot find out the email for my gamer tag?

Many ideas of how i do this?

So frustrating and definitely don't want to make a new one

Need help redeeming my xbox live code

I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

so what the... what do I do now?

If you still have your Xbox 360 you can sign in, sit at the dashboard, and your email address will appear in the top right corner of the screen in rotation with your Gamertag. You can also follow these steps on your Xbox 360:

Go to Settings and select Account.

Scroll right to Your Information and select Account Security.

The Microsoft account associated with your Xbox Live account is shown.

If you do not have a 360 you may need to see what your options are here:
support.xbox.com/.../forgot-microsoft-account-solution

Or call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and verify all your account information.

The online pass that you redeemed is linked to the Gamer Tag used when you entered the code. That Gamer Tag can access the Online Pass by logging into either console. If you want your Son to be able to access those features he needs to either log in under
that Gamer Tag or purchase a new online code for his Gamer Tag. The codes are one use only and only work for one Gamer Tag. Sorry if that isn't the news you wanted but hopefully it helps you.

My gamer tag was forcibly changed by Microsoft because it was "deemed inappropriate". The gamer tag was not inappropriate at all. How do I go about contacting them to get some help?

I guess the question would be how long as the Elite been on another Gamer Tag?

Xbox will issue new codes if the items have been redeemed in error.

If the elite was redeemed and the GT was banned, then you will not be able to transfer it.

Support staff will have a better answer for you later.
