    I have been locked out of both of my accounts on Microsoft, due to "unusual activity". I was just playing with my account on Xbox a day or so ago, no one has tried to access my accounts, only me. I can't recover through text msg verification, I have recently changed my number and I don't pay the number listed as my recovery option anymore. Updating my Microsoft account information with this new number is not at all something that would come to mind. I have only had this new number for about 1month. I chose the alternate method(this is a highly over intensive questionnaire that is quite excessive). Let's start with the ones I couldn't answer that led to me being denied twice and prevented from trying again. First problem question is the security question, it's a question that isn't constant throughout ones entire life. My question is what is your favorite historical figure? I have created these two accounts that I've been locked from over ten years ago. I have changed entirely in this time, my 19 year old self would obviously put down something that was important AT THAT TIME. second point about this question, for literally every account we make for anything at all, it will have a security question. How many security questions are we expected to remember? This is a bad option that should be removed from the list of security questions. Since it is subject to change in a person's lifespan, and I have so many security questions memorized that the one I made ten years ago Is a blank for me. Second question was a lack of options, it asks if I play on Xbox 360 or Xbox one most? The true answer is neither I UPGRADED TO XBOX SERIES S OVER A YEAR AGO. This option simply isn't there, thus I don't have the old Xbox that is dominating the majority of my playtime according to the account. That leads into the third question, what is the Xbox live ID, I don't have the old Xbox any longer, I can't access that information. Since I can't log into my account on the new Xbox(series S) because it is locked out currently, I had to create a new account just to sign into my Xbox to get this information. Which turned out to be INCORRECT, because like I stated above it was asking for the XBOX ONE, which I no longer OWN. I went through the emails stating the email address from most recent sent messages as asked, they are all old. No one uses emails that often anymore. I still listed them in order from top down. And below that I provided the email subject heading as asked. After that I was directed to provide my credit card information, recently was issued a new card, same number but it has a slight difference this one is new, because the old one expires this year. But no that's not allowed, even though this is common sense. Y'all need to stop doing everything automated because I'm livid at how awful a multi billion dollar companies customer support is. I have submitted around four customer support requests, but lo and behold I'm stopped again by automated "help" more like roadblocks tbh, because there's limited options to choose from for the issues. I realized that the only way to actually BE DIRECTED TO RECEIVE A PHONE CALL was by selecting the "I have a question" option. I DID THIS 4TIMES LIKE I STATED! What response did I receive? ANOTHER DAMN AUTOMATED EMAIL THAT I CANT REPLY TO! This email directed me here. So I am here and expecting that no one will see this, my problem will never be resolved and I will just have to lose my account that is tied to games that have OVER $1000 INVESTED IN THEM. I JUST WANT TO TALK TO A PERSON, WHY IS THAT SO HARD?! I went to the forums, I noticed there is a question similar to mine, there was even a Microsoft official that replied to this question It was how to recover his account after it had been hacked and the email was changed. What was the Microsoft workers reply you ask? Well what I had come to expect by this point, a damn link right back to the homepage of customer support and some misinformation about requesting an "ATO" (Account Takeover). There's no option for this, the Automated roadblock, I mean "helper" doesn't recognize these. This is a travesty, I'm so upset at the fact that I can't get help with this problem. Every where I turn it's another bot redirecting me to things that are useless for my issue, or back to where I started, the "contact us" page. Should change that name to "run you in circles" page. What do I need to do? Obviously a bot can't reason on these problems that prevent me from recovering my account, and the amount of security required is BEYOND EXCESSIVE! there is no reason this should be so hard. You wanna prove my identity? Ask me for a picture of my driver's license. Easy, simple, used by establishments everywhere. My credit card is just as solid evidence but because a DAMN BOT THAT CANT THINK sees that my card has a slight deviation in how I wrote it on the account, this deviation should be coded into the bot to be acceptable, BECAUSE CARDS EXPIRE! not sure if y'all are aware of this. Seems like no. My card number hasn't changed. Only the expiration date has been renewed. Stop pigeon holing customers into "pick an option" but y'all only have like a handful listed that don't help specific issues like mine. My issue requires an human to evaluate, once that is done my burden of proof will be accepted. But dealing with these damn bots makes this nigh impossible. Y'all haven't thought of everything, this system needs an overhaul, this is laziness with no excuse, y'all have a call center I imagine, if you don't why not? Bots cheaper? So you're gonna tell me as a multi billion dollar corporation can't be bothered to even pay for employees? You gotta run bots, because why? Greed? Incompetence? I know the call center exists I know there people handling nuanced problems like these, I guess y'all wanna cut down on incoming calls because ppl will abuse it and really they could of have for and the answer themselves if they had been directed properly. So it's a means of cutting down phone traffic. Great, it's probably dead in there now, maybe y'all even had to let some employees go because wasn't enough calls to be answered. On your end everything is just fine, meanwhile customers like me are getting arbitrarily blocked from using their accounts and I can't speak to someone to help me resolve this problem. I wonder if I can sue y'all for blocking my account when I have invested a substantial amount of money into the games associated with that account that I will never be able to get into a new account because it's tied to the account? I had to create a new Gmail account and a new Microsoft account because y'all arbitrarily banned my main account AND my recover account. The names of which are essentially the same as on my credit card, but a UNTHINKING BOT cant reason on this. This is ineffective, and frankly Microsoft y'all are just a major disappointment. Nobody is trying to hack my accounts, I have received these blocks before for absolutely no reason, but back then I had the phone number that is associated with the account. Essentially if you change your number, well the Microsoft account info better e the the first thing to change. Seriously, what world do y'all think we live in, where changing my account settings is on the forefront of people's minds when they make slight changes to their live? It's pathetic, there's simply no excuse for this run around I have received, there's no excuse for this excessively obnoxious security hoops to jump through. Y'all need to fix my problem and fix the problems of how y'all handle these types of issues going forward, disgraceful.

    the scum never sleep. And its pretty frightening whats linked into Google accounts for any one who gains access.
