    How to recover moved data from an xbox 360 flash drive?


    Don't ask me how (it was stupid) but I had all my profiles on a flash drive on my xbox, which I ended up moving (not copying) over to the internal hard drive, then I formatted the hard drive. So the profiles aren't on my flash drive or the internal
    drive anymore. Is there a way to recover files that are "moved" from the xbox 360 flash drive?

    Transferred data from 20 GB hard drive to Flash drive and now I can't transfer files to new hard drive!?

    I recently got a new 120 GB hard drive, but lacked a data transfer cable. What I did was I tried to move files from my xbox 360 20GB hard drive to a flash drive but I didn't know I had to configure it first. Now I can't see the files on the flash drive but
    yet it says it's full. How do I recover my data?

    xbox hdd got deleted and now its on blank

    The hard drive uses Flash Memory so the data is possible to recover, i suggest sending the Xbox 360 to repairment and ask them to recover all data from the old HDD to a new HDD. You can register the Xbox 360 console with its serial code and send it to repairment

    If they were moved not copied then they will not be on that flash drive. You can always download the profiles but not saves unless they were on the cloud.

    But is there no way to recover the files? Like some program that can restore the moved/deleted profiles?

    not if they were moved to the hard drive and the hard drive was formatted. but as I said you can recover the profiles but all the saves would be gone unless they were backed up on say the cloud sorry.

    I just want to say that I actually got my files back!!!!!! There is definitely a way to get files back, as when you delete files they aren't actually gone they just go hidden and are labeled free space to be written over. I found this awesome software
    that was incredibly user friendly and easy to use called [Mod Removed] (link below) that I would recommend to anybody who needs to restore XBOX memory data from flash drives or external hard drives. Anyways, YESSS I got my stuff back!

    Just an FYI, Xbox files are not meant to be seen on a PC. So using software like that is a violation of the terms of service and can put you at risk for being banned.

    Cannot Recover Profile

    Sorry for the double post but I found a solution around this, although hopefully microsoft will do a patch to fix this, here is one way around it.

    First off you need to be connected to xbox live and you need a flash drive , atleast 1gb. Delete the profile data you are trying to recover from your HDD. Turn off your 360 console remove your HDD. Restart your 360 and format your flashdrive for your 360
    if you have not already done so. Download the 360 system update to your flash drive, then recover your profile to it as well. Once finished with that turn off your 360 and replace the HDD. Move your newly recovered profile from your flash drive back to your
    360. Voila, a little sloppy but it works, and it wont require the flash drive past the profile move, nor the deletion of your harddrive data aside from the profile your trying to recover. Hope this helps!
