How to recover a canceled/deleted account

Hello,

I am posting here after talking to tech support and was not given a solution. I am attempting to recover my old gamertag, and now the story. I canceled my xbox live account about a year ago, due to aggravation with their tech support. That is another story.
Anyways so my old account is canceled, my friend buys me the game Destiny for Christmas. I attempt to play and find out that is xboxlive only. Side note I did make some mistakes here so please be understanding. I end up purchasing a 12month membership from
target. My xbox 360 hasn't been connected to the internet since i deleted my account. I connect the 360 and attempt to log into my profile. I enter the password and am given a message telling me the account is deleted. That makes perfect sense. I use the
code on the card to set up an account. I type in my old gamertag since i deleted it and thought it would be available. I am given a message that gamertag is in use. I am thinking that o.k. someone else is using it alright. Well the next day I decide I want
to friend whoever has my old gamertag. I check the profile and its my old profile i set up on that gamertag.

That's the story. A gamertag that is deleted but yet a gamertag that can't be used and is still sitting out there in the netherworld.

xbox360 profile recovery

On xbox360 how can I recover the deleted profile and apply them on new Microsoft account.

If you deleted your email account (Microsoft Account), the xbox account is deleted as well.

If you deleted the email at less than one month you will be able to cancel the delete request that you made, if not, you cannot recover the xbox live account associated.

If you have deleted the account and it has been more than 60 days, there is no way to recover the account.

''If you want to reopen your Microsoft account, just sign in again within that 60 days. We’ll cancel the account closure, and everything will be just as you left it.''

if it is a live account your private data including the creditcard info is deleted just goto login.live.com and close the account as there is no subscription or billing info attached

this does not cancel your gamertag and your account will go into limbo and almost impossible to recover

Have you tried using the recovery form https://account.live.com/acsr or does it say the account does not exist?
