How to Record Xbox Series S Gameplay for YouTube?

Hello, im totally new to this and haven’t got a clue where to start. My son wants to be able to record his gameplay along with recording himself and voice when he plays his games on the Xbox series s. I’m at a loss what I need to buy.

I don’t want to purchase items that are too expensive just in case this is just a phase he’s going through lol. But if anyone can recommend how I buy what he needs I’d be eternally greatfull.

Xbox console has their own recording tool, your son can use that tool and with a microphone/headset connected to the console he can record his voice

The thing is that he need to use a computer or a mobile phone to upload the video to YouTube
Because there isn't a native way to do this

From the sound of it, you want to record your gameplay for YouTube? The YouTube app does not have that option. The only way you could to that is to record your gameplay using either the record that option on the Xbox, or invest in a video capture device for your pc, which you can connect your Xbox to, so you can record the videos for YouTube.

No and No. However you can upload your recorded gameplay to youtube if you upload it to skydive. How did you get it to record the entire 5 minutes though? Whenever I tell it to record something it only records for like 30 seconds.

A lot more people including Stampy, lewisblogsgaming, etc on YouTube, use a PVR. Hauppauge (Hauppauge HD PVR2) and Elgato are the biggest brands. Sure it will set you back by about $200. But it's great. My Hauppauge HD PVR2, records PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One,
PS4 Pro gameplay, and what's better, it records game chat and party chat voices too. And there's no 5 or 30 minute time restrictions which Xbox One's DVR thingy has, it doesn't even record game music and voice chatter (party/game chat) either! Don't be cheap.
Get a Hauppauge or an Elgato. I'm also a Youtuber and got several of my friends involved in my YouTube videos too! Yes it's a hobby. Lots of people like sharing to YouTube since it's the biggest video blogging thingy what-have-you provider. Twitch? yeah, I
don't use it, a lot of people don't use it out of the what 8 billion people on our planet. YouTube rocks.
