How to properly use xbox tv volume controls with external speakers?

I am trying to control my "tv" volume through the integrated feature on the xbox. Currently I am using an Xbox series S with a monitor step up with external speakers.(to be more specific, Xbox is connect to the monitor, No PC) My main goal is to properly setup this external speaker so I can control the speakers through my xbox and not use the speaker remote to control the volume. My external speaker only has an audio jack port and an optical audio port which the series s does not support.

As of right now the speaker is connected to the audio jack port in my monitor and that is how I am receiving audio but I cannot use my xbox to control the volume level.

Since this an xbox feature I would assume that I would need to connect the speaker right into the xbox to gain access.

Would something like an HDMI audio extractor help with being able to use this feature on the xbox?

If not what other methods can I use to control the audio volume on my xbox?

    :)

Low Volume output on XBOX 360 (both old and brand new Slim)

No. It has nothing to do with headphones. The volume is low to external speakers, heaphones, TVs, etc. It doesn't matter what device it is connected to. I have used the standard definition cables, the component connection cables, HDMI cable, and the
cable with the PC connection. I have had it hooked up to Logitech Z623 speakers, Logitech Z906 speakers, some cheap brand of PC speakers, a Samsung 40" TV, a Sanyo 46" TV, a PC monitor with speakers, skullcandy heaphones, turtle Beach X2s, turtle Beach X32s.
The sound is low to all devices no matter how they are connected. It is this way on both of my XBOX 360s, both the original white console and a brand new slim. The logitech speakers have volume control on them and I have to crank it up to get a normal playing
volume whereas for TV and other consoles, I have it much lower. On the TVs, there is volume control which also must be greatly hightened to hear the XBOX games through. In game sound is all the way up. The TV is on (i double checked, I swear!!!!!). For
normal TV viewing and other consoles, I keep the audio at about a 12 for example on my Samsung TV. I have to have it around 35 to play XBOX. That's not the way it should be. If I hook up standard headphones to it with no volume control, it is very quiet
and no good for playing games.

Xbox One S audio output volume control

    Hi ZoltánBalázs2,

That is still not possible because volume control is only specific to the audio output device (speakers). You control volume only through the TV or any external audio device with speakers. The only exception to this would be volume control for headsets that
don't have the volume control built in. In this case if you plug in a headset to the Xbox One controller via the 3.5mm jack, then volume is controlled by a slider found in the Xbox Accessories app when looking at the controller's settings.

In conclusion, the Xbox One console is not responsible for the volume of the audio output as that is handled by the audio output device itself. The Xbox One just processes the audio formats to whatever you have set it to in the Audio output settings and
then the audio travels to your audio output device, which is what has the volume control. Therefore, as far as volume control goes, the Xbox One Media Remote is only able to control the volume on your TV that you have set up with your Xbox One under the TV
& OneGuide settings and then in "Device Control".

As mentioned previously, please refer back to that support article on what the remote is used for.

    Sound Issues

This sounds incredibly odd. Are you using any kind of external speakers, or your TV's speakers? If external, how do you have the speakers connected to the receiver or TV?

XBox One S - PDP - Talon Media Remote, Can't program this receiver

Hmmm, I'm using that exact same media remote for my living room console! Are you positive that the remote can do that? I can turn up the volume on my TV with the remote but not the volume of my external big speakers. Even with the TV volume i find the
remote to be very unresponsive, takes multiple clicks to register or just won't work sometimes.

    Digital moniter +xbox= no sound??

    Hi,

Can you provide the make and model number of your monitor? DSub ports are the old VGA type connectors, they don't provide audio.

How do you have the speakers connected? Are they via a 3.5mm audio jack on the monitor? Generally external speakers needs to be powered (i.e. plugged in to a mains supply).

Also, check your monitor settings for the the volume controls. Monitors audio settings for the audio out port are usually at 50% by default. If you're not using the audio jack for headphones, you should turn this up to 100% and then adjust the volume on the speakers directly.
