How to prevent someone else signing in on my xbox

As the title states I’m trying to figure out how to prevent others from signing into their account on my Xbox. I know you can prevent people from creating a “new” account but I also want to prevent others from signing on their account.

    :)

    Playing Shooters Online

It depends on how many people are playing. If I sign on and several of my friends are online too, I'll invite all of them to play in something like Team Deathmatch, but if I sign on and no one else is on, I'm fine playing one-on-one with someone here at the house.

How to prevent someone else signing in on my xbox

That's easy don't allow others download their accounts in your console (as they have to do that directly from the console)

You can secure your account with a button combination to prevent others from signing in on your account.

This page here explains how you can create a passkey for your account, so no one without the 6-button combination can (ab-)use your account.

Or do you mean you want to prevent others from downloading their profile on your Xbox without your authorization?

  7. The best way would be to prevent anyone from downloading their account onto your Xbox. other than that there really is no other way. You could always tell them not to use your Xbox as well.

    Best,

I would recommend changing your password and revoking access to your account on all devices except your home xbox.

I want to prevent others from downloading their profile onto my Xbox which its sounds like there is no way to do. Primarily I don't want someone in our house using this particular Xbox and I know that if I'm gone at some point that will happen. How is
this not a security feature? I mean this is 2018, why is there no "admin" so to speak?

    Hi there,

Sorry about the inconvenience. Currently we don't have a feature that blocks others from downloading their profile to the Xbox. One thing I do know that could possibly help in this case would be the following:

You could set your Xbox One Offline. While offline, your Xbox won't connect to any networks. Which is required to download any profile on the Xbox. I'm assuming that if you don't want someone using your device, you probably
won't give them the wi-fi password neither. So they wouldn't really have a way to connect the Xbox online to download their profile.

Once your home you're able to put it back on Online mode very fast and easy. For this check out our article

    "Using Xbox One Offline".

    Set your Xbox to Offline:

    1. Select System > Settings.
    2. Choose Network.
    3. Select Network settings > Go offline.
To go back online, repeat the first three steps, and in step 4 choose
    Go online
    .

Let us know if this helps.
