    How to prevent my child's friends from logging in to our Xbox


    Thank you for the new screen time limits that are now in the latest software update for Xbox One

    However I cannot see how to block my son's friends (or my son) from logging in to our box with the friends' Xbox logins. This somewhat defeats the screen time limits as a friend could come over and my son and friend can just use the friends account even
    if my son's is blocked.

    It would be ideal that as the adult account on the machine that I could flip a setting to prohibit adding any additional user accounts to the machine without my permission.

    Is there a way to do this?

    Okay so i recovered my account on my friends xbox and now he keeps logging in is there anyway i can prevent this from happening

    I don't own an Xbox. I have a gold live account though and used to play online games like Black Ops at my boyfriends. We broke up. How can I prevent him from logging into my live account & letting his friends use my gold? I don't have access to the Xbox.

    When on your account:

    1: Go to settings

    2: System

    3: Sign-out content restrictions

    4: Create a guest key

    5: Uncheck the box "Let people download and make new accounts"

    To prevent your son from turning this off you should make it ask you for a password when logging into your profile:

    1: Settings

    2: Account

    3: Sign-in, security & passkey

    4: Change my sign-in & security preferences

    5: Choose between "ask for passkey" or "Lock it down"

    You can change the privacy setting for Xbox Live so that only friends can message your child. This will prevent random people from messaging your child.

    You can always either set up a child account where they can not buy anything or delete you credit card off the account my self i dont keep a credit card on my account cause i have 2 kids and they are on my xbox alot.

    I would have thought that too but when my child gets into a party with the other person a warning comes up and says that there is an issue with privacy settings for my child account preventing communication. This error notice was issued before and after
    my child and their friend became xbox live friends with each other. At this time they both have each other on their friendslist. Thanks for any other ideas.
