  1. How to Prevent False Reports

Never have I ever cheated, sent an inappropriate message, or violated code of conduct. I have always positively supported the xbox community and its users, in any way possible. That being said this is why it hurts so much to be slighted by the very community
i cherish and respect. People can falsely report for no reason, and then enforcement action is taken upon a user who did nothing wrong. How is XBOX monitoring this and determining this?

As a female gamer I am often ridiculed, criticized, attacked and abused... unprovokingly. Example: boys send me lewd remarks regarding sexual acts, girls send me hate messages... I report and block and never engage. Nothing ever happens. Example: my personal
information is exploited in a club I administrated by club members... I report, Ban, Block... nothing happens. Example: I win and beat the boys, receive onslaught of lewd hate messages... I do not engage, report and block. Nothing

    Happens!

In return I get reported for doing nothing but be a positive contribution and supportive of a community that does not protect its users. In turn my ambassadorship revoked, picture privileges removed and habitually having to prove myself as a legit girl gamer
for now my reputation needs work.

My Reputation Needs Work because I deny sexual advancements by men, because my picture is prettier than yours, because I kick kids from my lobbies for their foul mouths because of NO legitimate reason at all other than peoples feelings.

To be slighted by my peers is hurtful in itself but to not have support from XBOX is even more heartbreaking.

How do we stop this? How do we stop the bad apples from getting to do whatever they want with NO PENALTIES and prevent the legit gamers from their abuse? WHY XBOX OFFICIALS? Why can't you differentiate what's right from wrong? Why do you allow others to
decide peoples fate without a checks and balances?

It literally makes me want to put my controller down and never give XBOX or Microsoft another single minute of time let alone another dollar... for all I'm paying for is to be subjected to torture and abuse on a daily basis when all I ever do is come here
to have fun. Video Games are supposed to be fun... not a torture tool.

Help me bring awareness to the hate, please share and discuss your experiences for I know I am not the only female living with this daily struggle and abuse and I know I am not the only gamer who has been wrongly accused.

    :)

    How To Prevent False Reporting

You were an ambassador yet don't know how enforcement works.

    Taken from the enforcement site:

Will I get banned just because I received complaints?
No. A common misconception is that a certain number of reports will result in an automatic suspension. According to the myth, even if you haven’t done anything wrong someone can get you suspended by encouraging players to file many complaints. This is completely
    untrue.

XBLPET investigates complaints and takes each report into consideration when making an enforcement decision, but a certain volume or frequency of complaints doesn’t guarantee a suspension. We take an evidence-based approach to enforcement
and take numerous factors into account when considering issuing a suspension. The context around the content or activity is particularly essential and drives our decision-making process. Simply put, there is no magic formula that instantly results in a suspension.

Despite what some may claim, XBLPET will never ever ban anyone “for no reason”. Suspensions
always occur as a result of a specific Code of Conduct violation.

for ambassadorships contact xboxambassadors via pm or twitter

Any violation of the terms of use can get your ambassadorships revoked

And if you had read your handbook you would know better

Enforcement.xbox.com is the only way to contact the team for suspensions

And no they don't punish without a thorough investigation as it actually has to stand up in courts

    There is checks and balances

Even the enforcement team has a check

(It's in the terms of use which noone seems to be reading when questioning investigation methods

  5. Btw im very sorry for what happened to you seven.. if bullies are allowed to falsely report others and get everyone they report banned, then that mean none of us is safe here...

Simple. Report, Mute, Block, Defriend. Never reply nor respond to bullies or hackers. Let Microsoft deal with them. Never tell other people on XBL what to do. You are not the boss of them, you are not their parents. Just ignore and move on. Cause that is
what they want you to do. Retaliate in ANY way no matter how mild it is, and that can be viewed as harassment. Look up words on Google which gives a broad definition of words found in the Code of Conduct. Then...... you'll understand why you got banned. Be
calm and composed, one of my favourite quotes from stampy Minecraft Youtuber (i'm not subscribed to him anymore). Microsoft does not make a habit of wrongly accusing people. Also it may take Microsoft a long time, months even, before you get your sentence
for what you did wrong weeks or months ago. So much so, you've forgotten what you did wrong.

It is not the reputation system which is in question. It is the behaviour of people, that is. Fact! Without rules and laws, society would be in utter mess beyond imagination. We have rules and laws for one purpose. To keep in check our behaviour. You may
think swearing and being mean is ok during our free time, but it is unacceptable at school and work. Be careful you could be reacting to people 10 or 20 or 30 or 40 years older or younger than you. You can't expect them to have the same stance and views as
    you.

The rep system is the biggest pile of rubbish. I don't even use a mic and never send messages, but I don't play online too often just because of the crap rep system. People will send bad rep when they lose. Luckily I'm not that good
at BF1 so I never did better than anyone and never had bad feedback lol. I severely gimped Injustice 2 by never playing against anyone online just because people will give negative rep when they lose. I'm not going through the hassle of paying and being on
Live for nearly 11 straight years just to have my rep go down from sore losers and then make it damn near impossible to find an online match. The rep system is actually scandalous.

  9. i agree with everything you say, smileskybird, and your knowledge is quite impressive, but im no bully and i indeed have been bullied by people who got away with it. As things are im deeply anxious because i dont want to face anymore injustices; so i deeply
hope that microsoft will help me since they finally accepted my case review. as for the bullies, telling them how to behave is indeed out of my control, but since they dint respect teamwork, i couldnt keep them as admins.

sorry if i my comments seem aggressives, im not a bad person.

Bullys are not tolerated on xbox live.If you report & then block them they will be dealt with.

Doesn't matter if they report you for no reason, you will only be suspended/banned if you have done something wrong.

You will not be told the result of any report you file.

On very rare occasions you may get a thank you message if someone receives enforcement action due to a report you file.

If you respond to them in a way that violates the ToU/CoC then you risk enforcement action yourself.

You are not exempt from the rules just because someone else "started it".

The op was an ambassador & should know all this already.

  11. thank you as well, Daft badger. I agreed and still fully agree with my sanction and im even glad that microsoft did it. I was so scared that the myth about bullies banning us for mass reporting us might be true; that i panicked... I still dont understand
why they got away with it; but i agree on the fact that i should learn to manage my anger and also help others only when they ask for my help. thats the 2 things i need to change, otherwise im a good person who actually care for her community and do her best
to moraly support kids who deal with cyberbullying. sorry btw, im still learning the english language.

If you reported them then you don't know whether they got punished or not.

Like I said, apart from a thank you message which is very rarely sent, you will never be told the result of any report you file.

Another thing to remember is that some investigations take longer than others so even if you did know they hadn't been punished yet it doesn't mean they wont be.

There's no time limit on when you can be punished for a offence.

By the way, your English is better than a lot of native English speakers/writers on here so you are doing just fine.

Could of got a 24 hour comms suspension or they could still be punished in the future.

Like I said, doesn't matter if someone reports you,as long as you've done nothing wrong you'll be fine.
