    How to prevent error code e208 from occurring when trying to enable dev mode?


    Hi r/xboxinsiders,

    When I tried to enable dev mode on my Series S, via the new dev mode activation app, I got the error code e208 and was forced to factory reset my series S to get rid of the error code. I want to try use dev mode again, but I don’t want to deal with the hassle of factory resetting my Xbox again if I come across the same error. Are there any other ways to enable dev mode that don’t give this error?

    What were you trying to do when you got that error?

    Were you trying to enable Dev Mode?

    Have you already enabled Dev Mode and are trying to sideload an unofficial App?

    Are you trying to sideload your own app? If so, did you already sign up and pay your developer fee for your Microsoft Account?

    Error code 0x87e00005

    This error occurs when the game you are installing from the disc is also being installed simultaneously from Microsoft Store service.
    To resolve this problem, try deleting and then installing the game from the disc in offline mode. Once the game is downloaded, switch your Xbox One back online. Here's how:https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/errors/error-code-0x87e00065

    Update: This problem is now occurring EVERY time I turn my xbox off (in instant on mode). The error code that it reports with the TV "taking too long to open" is: (0x8027025a). I have to unplug/plug it back in after every time I turn it off! Is this the
    same with the rest of you or were any of you able to find a fix that prevents it from happening? When is someone from Microsoft going to acknowledge this thread?...........
