I am just as aggravated as everyone else but,Heres what to do to play offline . Go to settings then network, then click go offline. Or yo can disconnect your internet. After you do this go and sign back in. Playing single player is better than nothing and
I'm sure xbox will hook us up with something for this problem

Can you explain how it's not working? What error message do you see when you try to play online? Are you signed into the account that bought the gold?

My microsoft account is not a child account but it still has the same "error message" when I sign in with a child account. (I'm saying error message as in "you cannot play realms because of how your microsoft account
is set up")

Does not work, tried it multiple times also changed my region. Nothing. If you can get in its very random. I do not suggest spamming to get in either that will only slow down the fix for everyone.
