    How to play on Minecraft Java if I already bought Bedrock


    A few years ago I bought Minecraft Bedrock Edition, but I want to buy Minecraft Java Edition so I can play with mods. Since Java and Bedrock are combined I cant find how to play on a Java account.

    You must first migrate your Mojang account to your Microsoft account

    To play Minecraft: Java Edition, download and install the correct launcher for your operating system.

    Sign in to the Launcher using your Microsoft account, and you will be able to run Java Edition.

    We totally understand that you want to play Minecraft Java version.

    The Java version of Minecraft is a separate game from the Bedrock version, and it is not included with the Bedrock version. If you want to play the Java version, you will need to purchase it separately. However, if you have already purchased the Java version, you can redeem a code to get the Bedrock version for free. You can find more information on how to do this on the Minecraft website.
