How to play on 2 consoles

Had One S for our family of 5. Just got Series X so 2 games could be played different parts of the house. So it appears they can't be both under my account to do so due to one game at a time? My children are 9 and under. Not quite prepared for them to have their own accounts. Can I make a generic child account? Does this require another Microsoft account or just another Xbox login under my account? Do I also need to make one console belong to someone else? Made the series X the home console. Only have discs. Any other issues having two consoles used by the same people using the same discs on both?

    :)

Umm despite what Anderson said you can't play disk games without a disk

    That's by design

You can thank sony for that

MS did have a lending out games from the couch system in place but sony and 300k xbox fans got matrick fired and put it end to it

Home console is only for digital games

Disk games still require the disk to be played so either buy another disk or buy a digital copy with the boxing day sale on probably a good idea

Unless its recently released games then it would be full price or a slight discount

To create an email account, you need to have access to a computer and the internet, as well as provide some personal information. If you are adding someone else, such as a child, you can create an email account for them using your own computer and internet connection. This will allow them to have their own email address and be able to send and receive emails.

If you create an email account for them, you will be able to set it up with their own unique username and password. You can also set privacy and security settings for the account to ensure their safety while using it.

Creating a separate email account for someone is a good way to give them the ability to communicate electronically while also keeping their personal information separate from your own. It is also a good way to teach them about responsible online communication and protect their privacy.

it is possible to use a visitor profile to access some services on the internet without creating an account. Visitor profiles usually allow you to access some features of a website or app without having to register or provide personal information. However, visitor profiles typically have fewer resources and features than a full account, and your data and activities may be collected by the website or app.

    Thank you for the reply.

Neither console would ever let me play an installed game without the disc regardless of it's the home one. Always says insert disc to read the license.

I just want to play two separate games at the same time. I'll try a child account and hope that allows us to use both consoles at the same time.

So it looks like I need to create an email to add someone? How is that different than just making a separate account? They're children which means they don't have phones or email.

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    good evening

It's possible to play games on multiple Xbox consoles using the same Microsoft account, but there are a few things to keep in mind:

You can only play a single game on one console at a time using a single account. If you want to play the same game on both consoles simultaneously, you will need to use two separate accounts.

You can create a generic child account under your Microsoft account for your children to use. This account will be linked to your Microsoft account, but it will have its own separate login and settings.

You can use the same physical game discs on both consoles, but you will need to ensure that you are signed in to the same Microsoft account on both consoles.

You can designate one of your consoles as the "home" console, which will allow you to play games on it without the disc. To do this, go to the "System" tab in the settings menu, then select "Home." Select the console you want to make the home console, then follow the prompts to complete the process.

    I hope this helps.
