How to play multiple video file one after another on xbox one

I wanna play tv show episodes that i keep on my usb drive. I'd like to play them continuously one episode after another . But i couldn't figure out playing more than one file.

Hi, just wondering if anyone knows the answer on how I can play multiple AVI files on a dvd one after each other without having to play each file one by one. Thanks in advance......

Windows 8.1 ''Play To'' Xbox One not playing multiple files automatically

I have several video files that I "play to" my Xbox One from my Windows 8.1 laptop. Also on my network, I have my Samsung Smart TV, Samsung Bluray player, and Xbox 360. All of those devices EXCEPT the Xbox One will work just fine when I queue up multiple
files, however, the Xbox One, while it can play the files fine, it causes the playlist to just stop after every file, causing me to have to click NEXT in order for the next file to start playing. Also with the Xbox One, it is not found in the "play to" menu
on my laptop until I turn the wifi of the laptop off and back on, but again, all the other devices are just fine. Anyone have any ideas as to the problem(s)?

Hello altugi!

There are a few apps you can use to access your media have you tried going through the "Movies & TV" app or possibly the "Media Player" or "VLC" Apps. It definitely depends what app you're going through, which ones have to you tried or are having issues
with? It could also be caused because the shows are individual files on the USB drive so they need to be played separately.

I've tried only Movies & TV app. And yes, they are individual files on the usb and i want to olay tham back to back.

Hello Altugi,

Being they are separate individual files, they will need to be selected individually to play unfortunately. As XBF George stated you can try different apps see if it possible, but I think it will be same across the board.

This is not what I want at all. I want an MKV file to be transcoded locally into an MP4 that is stored onto my Xbox one as a local file.

Not what you want to hear but what you're asking simply isn't possible.

Xbox One can play videos locally and it play video's sent or transcoded from a media server, but it can't convert one video file to another. You need a PC/laptop for that.

When you add your files in to your My Videos section, are you seeing multiple paths after that? Do you not see an option to differentiate how those files will be stored? Where exactly are these videos being added from? Let us know. Thanks!
