first why is it so difficult to get help. your web site does not answer all questions, then you send us to forums where there are dozens to hundreds of answers that might fit the issue. service is getting as bad as the cost of gas rises I have an issue accessing my account xbox because some one else has taken control of it., It has been so long i dont even remember the tag. i believe i might i have asked to close out the account 5 times and of course the hackers keep opening it back up

Close Microsoft Account page. There you will be given simple instructions on how to permanently close your account. Upon completion, you will be given a grace period to reopen your account in case you want it back.

That’s doesn’t answer my question unfortunately.

What I mean is that in their policy they mentioned that account with purchase is not included when it comes to close account for inactivity but for how long ? Is it permanent or just time extended ?
