How to permanently change a home xbox

I have had to keep switching my accounts as a new home xbox and it keeps changing it back so I only have one switch left. How do I make sure that the next time I switch it it stays as the permanent new home xbox?

Have you ever shared your account details with someone else? If so, it's likely that they are the one changing the setting, so you'd need to change your password.

Just know that signing in to accounts that you do not own is a violation of the TOS and can lead to account bans.
Also, lending out of accounts is against the TOS and can lead to permanent bans.

Sharing of login information is against the TOS and can lead to permanent bans.

Unless you friend is coming to your house to sign in and make the console the Home console, you may be violating the TOS and can end up with permanent enforcement action being taken.

Like it was mentioned, it is not automatic. So yes, it is most likely that your friend is changing it. So if he does not switch, it should be sorted.
