How to open the 360 Slim hard drive slot?

All the Youtube videos I see show a specific grid on the 360 Slim bottom side, that grid has a "hidden" latch which opens the access for the internal hard drive.

My Xbox 360 Slim has completely different pattern on the bottom cover: a small circles instead of a lines (like in the other people's videos). So, I can't find the latch and I don't know how to open the
internal hard drive slot.

Please help.

Right. It wasn't made to be opened up and an additional hard drive added or swapped.

Actually, that is possible. I thought that "Slim" refers to its shape that makes it narrower in the middle))

So, if this is a regular, not slim and I have no top hard drive then there is no way to install one inside?

If it's got holes in the bottom, it sounds like you have a fat 360, not a slim. In that case it wouldn't have latch. the 360 hard drive would fit at the top.

So, the only way to get a hard drive is to get the housing that goes on top of the console, right?

You can use an external hard drive with the 360, but currently you can only use up to 32gb of space for 360 storage. There is an update coming that will allow you to use more.

There are no official 60gb hard drives for the Slim. They only come in 250gb, 320gb, and 500gb. So it's hard to tell exactly how that hard drive is used in your Slim, but if it's in the slot on the bottom of the console you should be able to pull it out.
