How to move a child's Xbox gamer tag off the parent account?

He actually has a child account, but his 'gamer tag' is associated with my account. From what I have researched, you cannot move a gamer tag to a child account on an Xbox One. If that is not correct, any references to how to do it would be greatly appreciated.
If it matters, and I know it does for Xbox 360, I have an Office 365 subscription on my MS account. On a 360, that prevents moving gamer tags.

You can't transfer content or gamertags from one account to another

I need a similar solution. I set up the Xbox account for my son's Xbox years ago & would like to transfer everything gaming related to an account for him.

Occasionally, he has trouble logging in when going to a relatives house & I have to tell him my password - it's frustrating. I've had a hotmail account for over 15 years and have many important things tied to this email address & login.

I have multiple accounts on my console. Able to split screen and play MW3 with another. The Family pack allows the parent to control the child account. The parent can use custom settings to allow a minor child to play mature games but not view any
mature video. Don't know about music. Not until the child's birthdate allows them access by becoming an adult. The family pack has one parent account and three child accounts. The child accounts can be used for adult or minor children, spouse, etc. and must
be placed on one console. From there they can be moved tag and license to another console pretty much anywhere the family pack is available. Like when the child moves away he or she can take their account with them on their own console. The problem with the
child account is adding ms points via marketplace need to be purchased from the parent account and an allowance given to a child account. Some issues with Netflix and some other things I can't remember right now. At that point you can remove the child from
the family account and they can just pay for there own account and not lose their tag, license, achievement score etc.

Have you got a family account setup at all, or parental controls?

That may be the issue.

Try asking your parent/guardian to turn off their parental controls, and reply if it does not help.

If your parent/guardian does not know how to turn parental controls off, tell them to promote the Xbox Live account to an adult one, instead of a child one. You may have a child account, instead of a full adult account.
