    There is no guide to making friends, sometimes someone will message you from a multiplayer game you've been playing etc. and things go from there.

    I personally have met heaps of my XBL friends through getting achievements together, more recently Twitter has provided heaps of new Xbox friends as well as hanging around these forums.
