How to make Xbox One auto-sign in without the Kinect.

If you turn off your Kinect-less Xbox One with the
Smart Glass app remote feature, and then turn it back on, you'll notice that it
will auto-sign you in.

But if you turn off your Kinect-less Xbox One from the
controller or from the console on/off button and then turn it back on, it
will not auto-sign in.

Something I noticed when messing around with the Smart Glass remote feature.

Regardless of this discovery, Microsoft,
please add in a stupid auto-sign in feature for a Kinect-less Xbox One in your next update.

Last time I checked, we live in 2014, not 1914.

Its been added...... Check your settings.

 

Pop into preferences, bottom of the middle column. (Instant sign-in)

"For those wanting to use the feature of instant sign in, it's in preferences, so, go to games and apps, apps, settings, preferences and select instant sign in at the bottom of the middle column, it works perfectly well."

As the above two fine community members have pointed out, this feature was implemented in the June update. Unfortunately it's kind of tucked away there for some reason.

Anywho... Enjoy...

 

Talking about auto sign-in... Does the console let you auto sign-in offline and then when choosing to go online it will ask for a pass code? Like how the 360 does if you set it up that way? I just want to find out as much as possible before purchasing either
of the new consoles.

Tbh I'm not sure... I've no need for that feature personally... But if I remember, the next time I fire the box up, I'll check it out and let you know... Unless someone beats me to it.
