How to make Purchase History work on Xbox 360?

Purchase History returns a dead link from Internet Explorer when selecting it on an Xbox 360.

Can this be made to work again? If it is a new address, all that would be needed is a redirect from the prior one...

Except that the 360 games on Xbox One are just that; 360 games. They are backward compatible games from the 360. Rex, have your son check his purchase history:

How to check purchase history from the 360 Console:

Where to check purchase history on Xbox.com:

live.xbox.com/.../history

If it shows up in his purchase history, he can choose to download it from the history. If it does not, make sure that he used his account and not a different account to redeem the code.

I am aware there is a url to visit for purchase history. I suppose this would have been better catgorized as feedback/criticism for discussion than a question. There is a dedicated link for Purchase History on Xbox360 but it does not work, the link is
old/moved/broken. This should be fixed.

 

There is no solution on this support page that offers to check "Purchase History" on an Xbox 360. Only a solution to check "Download History" on an Xbox 360 or "Purchase History" on a computer.

The GUI menu option for "Purchase History" exists on the Xbox 360, it simply doesn't work. The "old link" explanation from a console that is still supported by ad, Xbox Live and digital store revenue does not suffice.

Taking a look into the situation, the move from Internet Explorer to Microsoft Edge meant a jump from one browser to another.

This would not be in any case Explorer becoming old/broken, merely shifted from the previous programming.

The Purchase History
may still be viewed in Settings>Account Management>Purchase History.

Hi, thank you for trying to expand upon the situation, however your analysis of the issue doesn't line up with my experience. On an Xbox 360 with relatively little installed on it, neither Edge or Internet Explorer, I choose "Purchase History" from said
location. When I do initially, Internet Exporer (not Edge) immediately starts to download, assumably so that I may view purchase history from a browser webpage. Upon the completion of download, however, all I am greeted with is an error page. After restarting
the console this same errpr page still appears. If Microsoft Edge is the browser on Xbox 360 that this link can open on, the function to download Internet Explorer first andopen on it is broken.

 

I will try to download Microsoft Edge on the Xbox 360 and see if the default selection works at that point. It is still not a proper solution for all Xbox 360 users with the designated default, though.

Also of note: There is a limit to number of lines you can type in this comment box on an iPhone. Once you reach it, you can no longer scroll down with the text cursor.

 

Microsoft Edge isn't available on Xbox 360.

I recommend to try this on the Xbox 360:

• Select Settings
• Select Account
• Under Your Billing Option, Choose Purchase History

If this is unsuccessful, please try the website at
Check your Xbox purchase history.

is what shows up: when I try to use "Purchase History" from a browser. You don't even allow us to filter by Xbox 360 anymore! I've put a few hundred dollars into the Xbox Live service and there is still Xbox 360 content up for sale. I have to call this
kind of service false advertising, frankly.

I keep getting burned everytime I decide not to boycott Microsoft products. When will we ever learn?
