how to join enforcement/moderator team

Yeah I agree too that it should be a community managers role but it never stopped me to get involved and I can tell you first hand that its not a hard position to do. Actually, its pretty simple. You find and connect with a lot more content and make new
friends if you put yourself out there with them. Ultimately you will pick up on any rule breaking whilst your posting around. As 24 said, it doesn't hurt.

 

I feel for you Cloud. I know what it's like. Being a mod is not all it's cracked up to be that's for sure. To be honest I now enjoy gaming again and feel I can express myself a bit better.

We both seem to dislike ppl who ruin threads....whether it be SDF or MS fanboys. But I think you have a personal vendetta against ppl who like Sony with what happened to with the Sony troll and your kids....I dunno what happened, but that would make me
furious.

So...in the future....just know that I would never attack family due to arguing over consoles.

Thats waaaay more personal than this sort of thing needs to get.

 

At least they talks about Xbox one (even in a positive way),which is much better than having people advertise another brand....

 

It's one thing to be positive about your console of choice...but to come across as if you're trying to sell it to anyone roaming the forums whos just passing by or something....gets old.

I've had some pleasant regular old discussions with ppl on these very forums...who outright said the PS4 didn't interest them and were X1 fans.....but they weren't like some of the overzealous ppl here. Thats what's annoying.

 

I say we elect myself, Cloud, and Fyerball for de-facto community managers.

As for the topic itself, that's something I've been trying to figure out for years.

In any case, I asked a moderator a while back if they could tell me how many posts I've made over the years and they have yet to tell me. :|

 

As far as the topic goes enforcement - you flat out have to work for Xbox. That means you would have to live in WA/ state. The forum guidelines pretty well outline how they look for moderators.

As far as how many posts you have...... Is there any proof that mods know that information??? I'm not saying they do or don't, I am just going to say if they never got back to you there might be a reason.

i wont name him because it isnt right. He knows who he is. and GG no offence but i dunno if u would make a good CM i mean when i first met u yu had rules just for being ur friend u get to serious sometimes but id def elect u and give u a try

 

fyerball, the mod I talked to said he'd look into it for me. To my knowledge, he never got the opportunity because he stopped being a mod...

 

I dont think we should have to live in one place i mean these forums are used by everyone around the globe aint they? so why not employ MODS from around the globe

 

Moderators are different from enforcers and as such I'm sure they fall under very different rules. For example, I'm fairly certain that members of the enforcement team are paid employees of MS while forum moderators aren't (from my understanding).

 

Mods are normal users from around the world who have special ability's on the forums.They work for free. Enforcement team members are paid employees at Xbox.
