how to join enforcement/moderator team

What 24hrs said. Yes Geek is on here way too often I can't go on the Xbox 1 General Discussion Forum without seeing his name. He would make a good mod as he is on here pretty much every hour. No offense. But it also takes good judgement as well, like Cloud.
If Geek was a mod, that incident at the start of this year was it with the bad flash video stuff which begins with p, which was left un-moderated for more than 48 hours (due to long holiday period), would have been taken down in like 2 hours or so by Geek
since he's on here a lot =).

They took him off i don't know why but personally i think most of the mods are power hungry and dont even read the rules. i was an ambassador rank 4 i helped alot of people out and got banned because a sony troll went personal and took the *** out of my
kids so i reported him and moved on next thing i know the trolls comments are deleted (thread still stayed) and i was banned with no message or reason what so ever

Yup, I was removed for being too involved in a sense. I don't mind yapping to anyone in private if they want to know more

If you ask me, this place needs an overhaul. Something I pushed for (for myself and on behalf of the community) was less strict guidelines or ones with more structure to them. An Off topic section. More interactivity between mod > community, and plenty of
things for you all to do.

I don't think anything less then that is going to change a thing around here. Your all awesome and deserve the best. Unfortunately, my efforts were wasted and I got no problem pointing out the flaws I pointed out whilst I was a mod and there is a bunch of
things I could say, but that would be off topic and the irony of me getting a slap doesn't appeal to me lol.

Either way, to join the PET you would need to at least be located were the PET work.

 

Xbox.com don't know good staff members when they have them. I know of several other mods who did outstanding jobs here and got shafted for it.

Yeah they really need to take a closer look. I wont say anything more on the topic because I don't want to invoke a padlock or suspension but hiding behind a wall just wasn't my thing. Ive said it numerous times, if I could turn back time I wouldn't do a
thing differently and if I had known the outcome before hand, I would not of taken the position. Interaction is key. You can moderate a forum or you can moderate a community.

Lets hope in the long run theres a reversal in how its done.

^^I once asked one of the mods that very question. His answer was, Larry probably has a team of people who post various things on Twitter/reddit for him. Which is probably true but it still makes not one bit of sense why one of his team members cant make
a trip here and post.

 

Moderator's job is simply enforcement of the guidelines, interactions is something a Community Manager would do, it's a very different position, and usually it would be an employee on payroll.

^^Major Nelson and Trixie were both community managers I believe, and then DMZilla. Then the job went to Mister Gwyther and now there isnt one. At least not a visible one who interacts with this community.

I will agree a moderators job is to enforce guidelines, but that should not stop them from being apart of the community. Ive visited other forums where mods were actually active and participated in discussions. But this place is so broken most of the mods
dont really bother.
