How to Install Gaming Services?

You would need to install Gaming Services through Windows PowerShell as it’s not a regular app/service that can simply be installed from the Microsoft Store. Refer to the following guide (specifically the steps under ‘Still having problems?’) which includes various possible ways to resolve this error:

Troubleshoot game installations on a Windows device | Xbox Support - this applies to launch issues too.

Also try to reset/repair the specific service. Go to Start > Settings > Apps & Features > Gaming Services, then select advanced options, and Reset and Repair (if Repair is available).

I have uninstalled it and now I can't install it. Gaming Services appears to be part of the problem. Followed instructions on how to reinstall Gaming Service but when I press the install button in the Windows store it the button goes grey then nothing.

Ok I think I see my problem. I went to services and I scrolled down to gaming services and it is currently stopped. I try to start it up but it is saying it's not an installed service. Any idea how I can re install it? Microsoft store tells me it's already installed.

Thanks for your reply for my issue.

I have gone through the solution you have provieded, but no luck the issue is still presists.

For reset Windows store cache and reset Microsoft Store, nothing happened after running the exe.

For deleting registry, I couldn't find Gaming Service register in my Local Machine, seems it isn't installed into registry.

For Windows Store troubleshooter, I found that I doesn't have the option for Microsoft store troubleshooting and I have done all Windows Update.

Try this: Go to Windows settings >> Apps >> Xbox >> Advanced >> Repair & Reset.

After doing that, Perform the same steps for Gaming Services and Microsoft Store as well.
