    How to import games to xbox app from old operating system files.


    Hi just installed windows 11 and used a new SSD to install it and so have access to all my old files. I had about 7 or 8 games installed on that OS and I would very much like to transfer the games over, am hoping I can copy and paste the files as I'm unsure if I can actually boot the win10 OS to at least uninstall them there. That or if i could point the xbox app to its D drive equivalent and just keep using that part of storage for xbox games.

    No. If you had done the 'upgrade' route you would still have access to Windows Apps and games previously installed on Windows 10. But since you chose to install from scratch, those files are locked away in encrypted folders that you will need to delete as they will not be accessible to a fresh install of Windows 11.
