How to hotspot wifi from my Mac to my Xbox

Select DNS Settings.

Select Manual. You will be asked for the primary DNS server and then the Secondary DNS.

i need an altrnate mac address for my xbox1 for a wifi hotspot

If the hotspot has a web-based authorization process you need to pass through (or a login page) upon connection to the hotspot, the Xbox cannot support that.

However, there is a workaround. You can try connecting to the hotspot with your phone, log into the webpage with your credentials, and then change the Wireless MAC address of your Xbox to the Wifi MAC of your android phone. Disconnect your Android phone
from Wifi as soon as you get them connected so you don't get conflicts.

In the Xbox network settings, go to "Advanced Settings" and select "Alternate MAC Address" to change your Xbox's MAC.

Sorry but that doesn’t help. Like I said, when the wifi is down my Xbox still accepts a hotspot. When the internet is running on my phone and computer, the Xbox doesn’t recognize any wifi including hotspots or neighbors

I don't have a router I am using my hotspot from my iPhone and I am at at hotel with free wifi my system can't catch the wifi.
