How to get Worldslayer DLC working on PC

I have been trying to reinstall Outriders on PC but having issues and keep receiving error from both MS Store and Xbox apps. "Something happened on our end" - 0x87e00017

I have tried all the normal troubling shooting steps.

Uninstall/Reinstall game (via xbox app and ms store) - no change.

Uninstall Xbox app (via settings and powershell) - no change

Uninstall MS Store (via settings and powershell) - no change

install via xbox app - no change

install via ms store app - no change

Clear MS Store Cache - no change

Ran windows update - no change

Change install directory (3 drives, 1 HDD, 2 SSD) - no change

Reset Windows - No change

After retrying all the above a few times I decided to completely reinstall Windows (Clean install, formatted Hard Drive)

Tried installing via xbox app and received same error

Retried via MS Store and it downloaded and installed successfully, but Worldslayer content is still not available

The game will load no issues, but all when I try to select previous Worldslayer characters it give me an error saying I need to have Worldslayer installed. If I create a new character the game will play fine, but only has base game, Worldslayer DLC is not available.

I have tried reinstall but have same result, after searching around the xbox store (not available in ms store) I found a third outriders program available "Outriders Worldslayer Upgrade", but when I try to install this I receive the same error I started with.

Also tried same directory (C:\XboxGames) as well as other drives, have over 300gb free on C drive and over 2TB on my other drives.

After 2 weeks of troubleshooting and a complete reinstall of windows I'm out of ideas. Every other game/app on xbox, steam, epic, origin works fine, issue is decidedly on xbox DLC only, how can this be fixed????

I had already submitted something through to xbox but haven't heard back from them. I put in a support request to Square-enix, so see how we go..

I am having this exact same issue. I bought the worldSlayer upgrade on Xbox through the Microsoft store and it works fine on Xbox but there is no option to install the worldslayer license on PC. there's the base version of outriders which it lets me install with game pass and there is the worldslayer addition of outriders which it wants me to purchase. But there is no way to select the worldSlayer add-on like there is in the Xbox version of the Microsoft store. This is a mistake on Microsoft's part.

Based on what you have described in your post, it seems that you have already performed most of the troubleshooting steps that could possibly fix the issue, to the extent that you have already performed a clean installation of the OS. At this point, I suggest that you report this problem to Xbox and raise a ticket with Square Enix. This issue may be on a developer's level, which we may not be able to fix with simple troubleshooting.

This is a reply to my own post I figured out how to get the world's Slayer upgrade on pc. You cannot install it or get it from the Microsoft store on PC you have to open the Xbox app and then it will be available that way it took a lot of searching and clicking around and finally got to this point. So again if you use the Xbox app you should be able to find the outrider's world Slayer upgrade and install it then it should work on PC using the free version of outriders with game pass so you will have all the content.
